Former Dodgers right-handed pitcher Trevor Bauer is reportedly set to join the Yokahama DeNA Baystars of Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball league. Yuki Yamada, a journalist out of Japan shared the news.
Bauer was cleared to return to Major League Baseball in December after a long suspension for violating the joint domestic violence and domestic abuse policy. His suspension was reduced by one full season, making him eligible to rejoin the Dodgers for the final year of a 3 year deal. Instead, the Dodgers opted to release the former Cy Young award winner back in January, making him a free agent.
